Well, for those of you keeping track, Social Security and my doctor's visits are not only a problem but mentally and physically draining. Jim accompanied me to my bone marrow aspiration last week. I got to have a room in the new blood lab on the sixth floor. It's a pretty big area. The procedure itself went ok (well, except for Jim and the other issue I will discuss next), the tech actually gave me enough lidocaine, she actually verged on giving me too much. I couldn't walk after the procedure. my left leg was so numb I had to be wheeled out and had to take a really long nap to get the anesthetic out of my system. I'm glad she gave me too much painkiller tho because the actual procedure hurt more than usual. I actually had to stop walking outside for several days afterward. Jim had a horrible time during the procedure. I had a fright and thought I was going to loose him at one point. He fainted and passed out on me. He hates watching my medical procedures and it made him woozy. The tech at uch kept insisting that Jim go to the ER to get checked out but he decided he didn't need too. He's still ok right now. *knock on wood* Hopefully he continues to be ok and that it's a freak occurrence not an actual simmering problem.
I went to Social Security on Monday. My monthly stipend didn't hit the bank like it was supposed too and this month is the cutoff date if I hadn't of asked to receive temporary benefits during the appeal. I am having nightmares over this. It's depressing as hell. When I asked the woman at the office what the problem was, she said the temporary benefits are just delayed in processing and to check back in a couple of weeks. I hope she is correct. I'm not sure what I'm going to do at that point if she isn't correct. sigh.
