I was purchased Pilgrim's Cheesey Jalapeño Loaded Nuggets at Meijer. I was given a gift card for product reimbursement for Albertson's and their affiliate stores. Our affiliate store is Jewel-Osco. Our local Jewel-Osco does not carry the Jalapeño Loaded version of Pilgrim's Nuggets only the plain version. I emailed customer service about the issue, but ended up just purchasing the product at Meijer in order to get the review done and not be shown negatively the account. I gave the Pilgrim's Cheesey Jalapeño Loaded Nuggets 4 instead of 5 stars because the cheese was almost non-existent. If there was cheese in the nugget, I couldn't tell. The bag shows the cheese oozing out of the inside of the nugget. When I opened the nugget, all I saw was chicken and jalapeños. If the cheese was there, it was blended into the breading so well that I couldn't really taste it. I enjoyed everything else about the nuggets. The nuggets came in a resealable bag, and the portion size was adequate. The nuggets were larger than a typical nugget, almost twice as thick. The breading was not overwhelming. I thought it was a good amount as the chicken could still be tasted. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The jalapeños were fresh and spicy. Even with the disappointing amount of cheese, I would still purchase this product again. I would also recommend this product to family.
