Sootheez, Organic Throat Soothing Drops Watermelon Mint Influenster Review
5/5 stars
I was sent Sootheez, Organic Throat Soothing Drops Watermelon Mint through Influenster. This is a great tasting certified organic product made from natural ingredients that is probably pretty good for a light cough or sore throat. There is a little bit of pectin in the product that gives the chest an ease after using. I am currently suffering from a more severe cold so a more mentholated product works better currently, but the package isn't claiming to be used for anything severe. I also am a diabetic who does monitor sugar. The sugars aren't listed on the package but it is made out of juice concentrate and honey. They are very sweet. If you need to watch your sugar then I wouldn't recommend more than one at once. However, if you aren't concerned about sugar the taste is wonderful for a cough drop or even a candy. I would recommend the product to my family. I might purchase them if my husband was interested, but not for myself.

ReviTEAlize Organic Matcha Mushroom Powder – Organic Ceremonial Grade Matcha Powder Blend Mushroom Coffee Alternative – Mushroom Matcha Latte Powder (30 Servings) Amazon Review
5/5 stars
I purchased the ReviTEAlize Organic Matcha Mushroom Powder – Organic Ceremonial Grade Matcha Powder Blend Mushroom Coffee Alternative – Mushroom Matcha Latte Powder (30 Servings) from Amazon. I love matcha, and this product didn’t disappoint. It was delivered very quickly and arrived as promised. After I opened the package, I was wary of the product at first, as the thought of the combination of matcha and mushrooms didn’t entice my senses. The design of the packaging is also a little underwhelming. The product description and claims on the package are on point, but the layout and coloring could use a little work. However, the packaging isn’t what matters in the long run, the taste does. I received a product that was very fresh. I heated up a mug of hot water and the matcha was easily scooped out with the measuring cup in the package. I had no issues blending it. I sometimes drink my tea plain, and this tea passed the test. It didn’t need anything added to make it drinkable. I did then add some peppermint zero-sugar coffee-mate and it went from great to fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend this product to my family and would purchase it again if the opportunity arises. amazon listing

Another two missed opportunities, Kraft and Goodles

I talked about the last post where I have had no energy this winter to go to the store unless I absolutely needed to. In this post I am going to talk about another two offers I saw that I missed out on that would have been nice to obtain. Since my blood sugar has been running too high, I've had to cut way back on my mac and cheese consumption. Sad but true. I used to tend to overbuy when it comes to mac and cheese, because, well, it's mac and cheese. It keeps. With the whole cutting back thing, I have a few more boxes than I should have on the shelves, so I was less than motivated to get out the door and buy more, free or not.

The first offer was an opportunity for cheap Kraft at Walmart through the Shopkick app. The offer was for 250 kicks back when you redeemed the offer for either the Kraft Ranch or Kraft Jalapeno mac and cheese. 250 kicks is about a dollar, so the product would have been less than a dollar after redemption depending on local store price.

The second offer was an opportunity for better than free Goodles Deluxe Mac and Cheese at Target with Ibotta and Social Nature. Goodles has better nutritional statistics than Kraft, plus it was slightly better than free so I should have raced out the door since it is a higher-priced product than Kraft's Deluxe version. However, a higher protein content, more fiber content, and less sugar still didn't entice me enough to leave the condo. No use crying in my soup. Offers come and go frequently. Hopefully, the trend continues.

Now we are to the part of the post where I search for a recipe to spruce up mac and cheese since I missed out on those two offers. I came across this Lobster Mac and Cheese Casserole on the Better Homes and Gardens website that looks pretty quick. The noodles could be swapped out for a low-carb version, if needed. The lobster could be swapped out for a cheaper imitation lobster if you don't live on the coast like me. Real lobster is more expensive if it's not on sale around where I live in IL, so I'll settle for the imitation version most likely. My husband probably wouldn't eat the lobster anyway, so I would have to put whatever version I buy off to the side and throw it in when I take the portion I eat.

Sauerkraut Ice Cream exists in PA

I've been contemplating taking a new direction with the blog. Obviously, there are still errors and many posts mechanically that need to be fixed. It's a little overwhelming. However, I really don't have anything set up to try and actually make these posts pleasant to read for someone that just happens by. Previously, I have been getting offers here and there for free products from different internet companies. I would take a picture of the product and post it, but that's not really interesting or something that would really engage a person reading it. Since I don't get many visitors to the site and social media numbers are low since I don't do videos, I don't get anything for payment other than free products. Without a payment other than a free product, there isn't a lot of external motivation if I am struggling with other life factors. That's where the mental state has been this winter season, nonexistent external motivation. Burned out on everything, mostly because my health caused me to take a step back and focus internally.

I had signed up for a free offer with Flanagan Farm Foods through an instagram ad. I signed up for it mid-December, 2024. I was interested in it because it's kraut and diabetic/diet-friendly versatile food. However, my husband hates everything about kraut. So I knew that if I went to get this product, I would need to totally be into cooking it for myself as an extra or additional item. Energy levels dropped and well I didn't end up making it out to Wal-Mart for the offer during the time period. Story of my low energy life. Anyway, I get a text today saying the offer closed due to an exceptional response to the offer. Totally cool. I can deal with it, the offer was open for just over three weeks. I had plenty of opportunity to claim it.
Because this wasn't the first offer I had seen recently for free/discounted kraut in the last six months, I decided to go and look up a recipe. I came across an article that was written today about sauerkraut ice cream. It sounded gross, but intriguing enough so I clicked on it. I guess it's an ice cream shop in PA that serves a seasonal sauerkraut flavor. Who knew? I guess it's a thing. I will have to research this concept more or at least more ways to eat sauerkraut.
